Custom ultrasonic test tank

Overview

The customer required XYZ and a Rotating axis motion, for precise and accurate scanning results used within the Nuclear Industry.

Solution

• Parallel coupled, leadscrew driven X axis on the base
• A ball-bushing bearing linear slide, leaadscrew driven for the cross, y movement of probe
• Scanning probe mounted on Z axis to be lowered into tank.
• MiniTec framework to mount XYZ linear slides to and bridge the tank.
• 4 axis Stepper Motor Motion ControllerPC via a 4-axis controller.
