Overview
Since establishing the new
structure, LG Motion has been engaged in
numerous large machine building projects. One
such project was a series of liquid dispensing
machines for RFI Shielding Ltd.
LG Motion’s project management team
worked closely with RFI Shielding’s own
engineers to design and build a 3-axis
positioning system for the precision dispensing
of RFI’s form-in-place EMI gasket material for
use in the high volume production of mobile
phone handsets. The jointly designed
positioning/dispensing system carries multiple
dispensing heads mounted on a cross-beam. The
cross-beam and its dispensing are numerically
controlled via an AMC Controller to a positional
accuracy of ± 25 microns, with each head fully
adjustable allowing individual dispensing
nozzles to deliver gasket beads to specific
profiles. |
