At LG Motion we are a big advocate of introducing young people into manufacturing to create a sustainable future for the business, as well as UK manufacturing in general.
As part of this commitment, each year we work with our local colleges looking for bright and eager students to enrol in our apprenticeship scheme.
Calan joined us in 2015 and has spent the past two years working across the business, and that of our sister company MiniTec UK, getting on-the-job training to supplement his education.
Recently, Calan needed to work on a project as part of his course work. So, we let him loose and he designed, engineered and built a flexible panel saw for the factory. In this video, Calan talks about the project and his time at LG Motion.
