≫  Shortlisted for Employer of the Year Award

This is not the first time we’ve been shortlisted for the Inspire Business Awards, the leading awards in North Hampshire that recognise business excellence. As a runner-up in the Innovation for Growth category in 2021, we are delighted to have been shortlisted for the 2023 Inspire Business Awards in the Employer of the Year category.

The Employer of the Year award recognises companies that demonstrate exceptional dedication to their employees, providing a safe and positive work environment, fair compensation and benefits, opportunities for professional development and growth, and other incentives that help employees feel valued and engaged within the organisation.

Having built an international reputation as a reliable and trusted manufacturing partner for electro-mechanical motion systems, we strive to consistently add value to projects across a wide range of industries. The company recognises the importance of everyone in the business to achieve this.

“We are incredibly honoured to receive this recognition and grateful to our employees for their continued hard work and dedication,” said Gary Livingstone, Managing Director. “We have long felt that investing in our employees’ success is critical to the business’s success, and we are committed to providing a supportive and rewarding workplace for our team.”

Always keeping an eye on the future and emerging talent, we encourage all team members to increase and improve their skillset, enabling them to improve product and service offerings. This is supported vocationally, with external training and Open University courses. This dedication has worked wonders for recruitment and staff retention, allowing continued growth with a loyal, consistent team that shares experience for the benefit of all.

As a Basingstoke-based company, we pride ourselves on employing local, homegrown talent and putting employees through apprenticeship courses at the local college to bring them into the business. We also encourage all employees to pursue continuous professional development regardless of their role, age, or experience. Many are currently undertaking additional studies to support their position within the business, all funded by the company.

As the company continues to grow, our commitment to staff has become more visible and measurable with the recent employment of a dedicated Training & Development manager. People are valued in their professional development, are not beholden to stay with the company, and encouraged through personal development.

Flexible working is a way of working that suits an employee’s needs. We understand that a standard working week doesn’t suit everyone work-life balance. We employ a number of people that work part time, flexible hours, as well as working from home.

We also now has a Mental Health First Aider on-site to ensure that all employees are trained to spot the signs and symptoms of mental ill health and provide help on a first aid basis.

The awards’ final take place on 13th July 2023, at The Anvil in Basingstoke – wish us luck!
